Flightcell Pro provides the leap forward in communications integration
by simultaneously connecting one or more complementary communications
options into a military headset:
- Cellphones, for deep penetration calls in areas covered by conventional or tactical cellphone networks
- Iridium and other satellite phones, for fully global communication at any altitude, anywhere on earth
- Military tactical radios for close contact group operations.
When Flightcell Pro is plugged
into the aircraft or vehicle interphone system (ICS), the user can
communicate over both the ICS and any connected devices.
Operating off inbuilt
rechargeable batteries and with a second headset connected, Flightcell
Pro becomes a portable, voice-activated two-place intercom, enabling
rapid and inexpensive deployment of communications on aircraft or
vehicles without an ICS or radios.
When connected to a portable radio or phone, Flightcell Pro provides a compact communication option for ground crew.
Flightcell Pro enables convenient hands-free operation of the connected
phones or radios, delivering high-quality audio in any high-noise
environment where handheld devices are normally unusable.
Interfaced communications & audio devices
Flightcell Pro can be used to interface virtually any communications or audio device:
- Satellite phones, including Iridium 9505/9505A, Thuraya and Inmarsat M
- Cellphones
- Hand-held radios, including tactical radios
- Audio recorders and cameras
- Other audio sources: eg. iPod/CD/MP3 player, laptop computer or specialised audio monitoring equipment.
Secure communication
When used with the Iridium 9505/9505A with encryption sleeve, or other
phones or radios with encryption modules, Flightcell Pro enables rapid
deployment of secure global communications in vehicles and aircraft.
Superior functionality
- Master volume control adjusts all inputs and outputs simultaneously
- Individual inputs and outputs can be
adjusted to optimize audio levels
- Isolate function allows phone and
radio to be isolated while user is talking on ICS
- Optional second headset cable allows a second user full access to connected communications or other audio devices
- Optional injector cable allows incoming phone or radio audio to be provided to all crew via ICS.
Power options
Flightcell Pro can be powered by an internal rechargeable battery with
up to 40 hours operation, or operate and/or recharge the battery
from an external power supply:
- 110V or 220V AC (with supplied power adaptor)
- 9-32V DC from vehicle or aircraft power
LC Display
