Flightcell is excited to announce its latest innovation, the Flightcell Controller—a compact, lightweight, and user-friendly interface for controlling the Flightcell DZMx PLUS and additional third-party role-specific radios. The Flightcell Controller is designed to match the look and feel of Flightcell’s flagship and field-proven product, the DZMx. It features an enhanced display that offers operators an improved user experience.

Key features of the Flightcell Controller include:

• Full-color LCD screen

• Sunlight-readable display

• Intuitive soft-key menu system

• Night Vision Green compliant

The Flightcell Controller serves as the main control head for the Flightcell DZMx PLUS, providing voice, messaging, data, and tracking capabilities. It also connects to devices via RS232 and Ethernet. The secure Ethernet connection provides operators with fast and reliable data transfer rates, which is especially beneficial for larger file downloads.

Operators may also opt to install additional Flightcell Controllers in remote areas of the aircraft to access and control their Iridium satellite and cellular voice, data, and tracking functions. This feature is widely used by EMS and SAR operators, who regularly communicate with ground command centers from the aircraft cabin.

Multiple launch customers are integrating the Flightcell Controller with the Flightcell DZMx PLUS to modernize the avionics of their respective rotorcraft fleets. One of the launch customers is Bristow Norway, who have chosen the Flightcell Controller for their S-92 fleet. The Flightcell Controller is scheduled for deliveries from May 2025.
